Associate Professor Karen Kopacek
Associate Dean for Student Affairs at the School of Pharmacy, and a practicing pharmacist with extensive experience in hospital settings and the area of cardiology.

Initially interested due to the adrenaline rush of working at a hospital
Emphasized that students entering pharmacy school are student pharmacists
There is a growing importance on clinical practice in pharmacy school
More responsibilities are given and expected of pharmacists in the workplace
Detailed wellness as a national push to lower burnout
Wellness can be achieved through connecting with peers, joining clubs, speaking with faculty, and more!
